You are the stars

They say you don’t fully understand something until you’re able to teach it clearly. Structure your ideas, think about what you’re going to say and how you’re going to say it. It normally takes many hours of preparation, revision and investigation. As if that weren’t enough, there is always a lot at stake. It is a risk which affects our brand the same way as when a client isn’t fully satisfied with your work.

Teaching every once in a while keeps us in tension and we experience it almost as a civic duty, as the need to give something back to the world, to pass on to your students what they can't find on Google or in books: what you've lived, your own point of view and the passion you apply to your job. And maybe, if done correctly, you might be able to wake some sleeping vocation or even generate the sufficient amount of confidence in your abilities and professionalism so as to make them want to collaborate with you or recommend you to a third person.

The newly created Mr. Marcel School has entrusted grasp with the 6 first hours of the course on Creativity, Communication and Art Direction, whose suggestive subtitle is “from imperfect present to perfect future”.

Mr. Marcel School is “small on belief and big on ambition” and its main target is to train motivated professionals in order to help them work independently and give answer to the real needs which they will face. I invite you to get to know it better.

The setting was also different, as the classes are given in Utopic_us, a singular co-working and events space, which, in their own words, “generates new energies” – something that they are achieving at tremendous speed.

During our six hours of class, divided in groups of two, we saw the context, the main concepts, the process, the brand typology, some tools and an overview of  the brand consultancy sector in Spain.

Here is some of the feedback that our students volunteered:

“I was with you these 3 days at the Branding workshop you organised for Mr Marcel School. I just wanted to thank you for your kind attitude and attention in class, it is great to encounter motivated and warm professionals.” Andrea Fernández

“I wanted to thank you because they have really been some very instructive classes, you have clarified that mysterious thing branding was and to me personally you have managed to better define my area as a designer. I recently had a client whom I didn’t work for in the end, he came to me saying that he wanted some labels and a card, but when I wanted to create something to encapsulate his company and try to do something coherent with his brand I realised it was too big a task for me. Now I know I just have to call you, which is a relief! :) “ Marieva Cunha.

And this recognition fills us with satisfaction.

To all of those who took part I encourage you to take full advantage of this educational opportunity and never stop learning and studying your profession in depth.

And I’m at your disposal!
